Food for Thought December
The House Of Ama presents: The Lost Art of Garment Grooming and Sustainable Care
Saturday, December 7th at 1 pm.

Artist Reed McLaren, will discuss the principles of garment grooming and consider how these sustainable practices, which were once a necessary part of every-day life, have been lost to us in our modern age. Techniques to be demonstrated will include combing and handwashing a sweater, caring for a silk blouse, brushing and restoring the nap of a coat, and needle felting for repair. Also, select pieces from the exquisite natural material vintage collection, THE HOUSE OF AMA, will be on display and available for purchase.

Hera Gallery invites the local community to participate in a monthly lunchtime event at Hera Gallery. The first Saturday of each month, we will gather at 1pm in the gallery space to discuss creatively inspired topics in a relaxed atmosphere.

As this event is at lunchtime, we are happy for people to bring a bag lunch if they choose.
